I may not agree with your view of the tuition increase and student strike, but, I have not threatened to beat you up, called you stupid, said you were a hippy, told you to jump off a bridge, belittled your career prospects, called you a baby, told you to shut up, told you to go die, overgeneralized your actions, labelled you or simplified your political views so that your cause seems unimportant. 

People have different opinions, but didn’t we all learn that name calling was futile? I have also not heard any convincing arguments for stereotyping people. 

Normally, I try to see good in everyone and consider different views of a situation even if I know I am very unlikely to change my mind. I find it very hard to do so when so many people have been indirectly/directly vilifying and criticizing me for believing in something.
